Something drastic has to take place to remove this latest craze of knife crime. I’m so shocked that society has got to this state, where kids think it is book (that’s cool in text speech) to carry knives, with no understanding or awareness of what the outcomes might be. Last year, when I got mugged and beaten up by six youths, I got this feeling that the kids had no awareness of their behaviour, like being in a computer game with no care about what consequences may be. I’m so upset to hear that there has been yet another murder today, there has definitely be a societal shift which the Labour Government can no longer ignore.

It is hugely depressing when, at the age of 27, I can safely say I don’t relate to kids at all. What has gone wrong? Poor parenting, computer games, an irresponsible government? We can all debate the reasons, however personally I think it is time for mass action and movement against this wave of crime. A few years ago there were marches against the Iraq war and fox hunting – admittedly neither were successful but I think this is a different beast. If such marches happened in London this time and across the UK, I think we will see positive change. If not it raises the all important question for the rest of us…do any of us even care?
