It is not exactly groundbreaking news but the BBC has written a fascinating article on the lack of English nationals in the Premier League. Sepp Blatter’s big quota initiative has great potential to counteract this problem, however 2012 is perhaps a bit too long away to have a positive impact on English football for now. I’d like to see change overnight because I’m gutted we didn’t make it to Euro 08. Success at club level is great, but I do care more about country hence why I’ve increasingly become more of a fan of the English rugby side than the footy. Britain’s got talent there.
I went to see Indy 4 on the weekend and was ultimately disappointed. It had some of the old magic but it fell down the over-the-top CGI trap. You do have to question why the film was made, being in his mid-sixties I’m afraid Harrison Ford has lost it and I’m disappointed with Spielberg whom I thought would be the last person to try and cash in. I don’t want to ruin it for anyone but the story just loses itself at the end, and people as reputable as Lucas and Spielberg should know the lesson that film genres really don’t mix. There was one positive though, Shia LaBeouf is a big star in the making…let’s wait and see what he does next.
Here is some Indy magic from VideoJug in case the film didn’t satisfy your needs either…
