Personally I can’t believe how long it has been going on for and how much media exposure it has had. At the start of it all, although it is obviously a deeply saddening story, I unashamedly thought it was a column filler for when there wasn’t much news, but as the event has gone on it has become much more interesting and rightly deserves its position in the limelight. There is so much that can be discussed…does PR get in the way of a criminal investigation? are the parents guilty? are they right to use the money raised to make mortgage payments? are Portuguese police corrupt? All in all it has a making of a great movie, let’s just hope that the ending is a good one.

I love my fancy dress, and since it is now Winter I’m positive there will be plenty of opportunities for me to look like a wally. Courtesy of Boing Boing I’ve now found the must have item for the season. Shame it is extortionately expensive.

I saw Eastern Promises last night, a must see movie for all so long as you don’t mind a bit of violence. There is a scene towards the end which is probably one of the most gruesome scenes ever in cinema…what a great experience it was watching it with my ever jumpy mother. Viggo Mortensen is a legend, one of the best actors of his generation.

Other film news, Daniel Craig has signed on to do another 4 Bond movies. A risky strategy for both him and the film studio, Brosnan was great in a Goldeneye (a good Bond film), but it all went down hill from there. I have also learnt that Harry Potter is in fact a lefty in Thatcher’s Britain…no wonder I fell asleep watching each one of those movies. What a load of Hogwarts.
