Dogs are cool. Star Wars is awesome. Dogs dressed up in Star Wars costumes, it doesn’t get more inspired!

Labour has completely dominated the polls since Gordon Brown became Prime Minister so this week’s Conservative Party Conference is absolutely key for a tory fightback. With it highly likely that GB will announce a snap election, the Conservatives really need to have a united front, make some news of their own and have a good week. I’m not that hopeful, the continual bickering within the party has once again derailed a strategy that was showing some good results. The shadow cabinet have tried focusing on real issues such as the country’s debt, the environment, violent crime, immigration issues etc…those less loyal have made it nearly impossible for this voice to be heard. I still don’t understand why these people are satisfied with being second place.

My three wishes for this week…

1. David Cameron to emerge as a true leader and unity the Conservative Party, having a great week in Blackpool

2. Lewis Hamilton to win the Japanese Grand Prix

3. England to spank the Australians in the rugby

…we do hope!!

Well done to Mr Boris Johnson for being elected to represent the Conservative Party’s nomination for the London Mayor race. Bring it on is all I will say.

I received Iain Dale’s Guide to Political Blogging through the post today, and there are loads of blogs that I’m sure will make it onto my blogroll sooner or later. I really do feel that most of our country’s best thinking comes from blogs right now, whether it is related to politics, technology or beyond. This is why I do the job I do, and why I think more people should get on board and talk about whatever interests them. Voting ‘none of the above’ simply won’t do people!
