Generally the continual press coverage of Diana bores me, so it is always good to see a different and refreshing angle at Iain Dale’s Diary.

The BBC reports on the news that the Press Complaints Commission suggests that there should be a voluntary code in place for blogs.

Quote: “We’re not in favour of regulating the Internet. The flow of information should not by regulated by any government.”

Interesting that they want a code in place but don’t want regulation…personally I’m a bit sceptical that the PCC has a stance on this, a last desperate attempt? Anyway the blogosphere is already self regulating in its nature and this is no thanks to them.

Ian Delaney has written a post on a new paper by Squiz in association with Text 100 on PR and Web 2.0. For those that don’t know, Ian is due to publish a book on Web 2.0 (Ian, anything on the publication date?) and judging from previous meetings with him, it will no doubt be a fascinating read.

Ta, Drew for highlighting the news. I think it is an involving read.

The Beeb has done a special report on the future of TV. Nothing groundbreaking but interesting nonetheless.
