Renaissance Chambara has commented on the importance of blogging, My Space etc to PR. The whole of the Web 2.0 movement is important to communications professionals and the companies we represent. Personally I’ve been highly disappointed with My Space. Although it is hugely popular, I don’t really think it offers the variety of services that we can create with blank-canvas blogging. To sum up I won’t be using My Space but I understand that if I choose to ignore it then I and my clients will ultimately loose out. If blogging isn’t your cup of tea and you too have been disappointed with My Space, why not try Popist…it is far superior.

PR Week has written a feature on blogging that makes interesting reading. It debates on whether UK PRs should be blogging or not and whether we should be using it as a communications tool for our clients. The answer both questions is of course yes and the feature is proof that the UK PR industry is finally following the US and taking the blogosphere seriously as a communications medium.
